A Christmas Message
from Joseph T. Troy, President

As we came together for Mass before sending our students home for the Yuletide celebration and the Christmas recess, I was once again struck by the energy and true joy that this 'Season of Giving' engenders on our campus.

The students have worked with great diligence this fall as we have asked them to give the best of themselves on many fronts-primarily, and most assuredly, in the classroom, but also in their co-curricular endeavors, and by their commitment to community.  They have been asked to help with the ongoing needs of our school by working with their parents and teachers on special events like Open House, Homecoming and the Hall of Fame as well as their involvement in Christian service projects that have provided help, food and toys for those who are in need.  They have done so with real focus, love, and commitment.

Now as we recall the birth of the Christ Child and its role in renewing and restoring our faith and that of the entire world, I am grateful for this opportunity to thank all who support Albertus Magnus High School during the course of the year:

  • our faculty who bring both professionalism and passion to the art of teaching;
  • our staff who support the mission of our school with their unique talents and sense of dedication to keep Albertus running smoothly;
  • our parents who entrust their children to us and give their time and talent to Albertus Magnus;
  • and our alumni who give to their alma mater not only by their generosity but in how they live their lives and reflect the values of Albertus Magnus High School.
Faculty, staff, parents, and alumni make the "Albertus experience" a truly meaningful one for our students.

I ask that you keep us in your prayers especially during this blessed time of year.  As I share a Christmas Blessing, know that you will remain in our thoughts and supplications.

An Old Irish Christmas Prayer:

May God's might uphold you, God's wisdom guide you, God's eye look before you, God's ear hear you and God's shield protect you. May the Good Lord bless you as your dear ones gather 'round. May your laughter be hearty, and love and joy abound! Blessed Christmas!

God bless you and your families this Christmastide and best wishes for a Happy New Year.
